title: Busy weekend
date: Monday, November 19, 2012
time : 12:13 AM

This week, in the class gardening activity, the teacher teaches and let the children hand on how to plant onions; I find it a good way to show the children how a small seeds can yield large harvests and how they were planted, maintained, and harvested. I feel that children are more likely to try foods they grow themselves too! This was placed in the kitchen near the window now.

Saturday morning, brought Amabel to school and I chiong to Sasa to buy this.

Gf, Karen, highly recommended this for whitehead and blackhead. I didn't go online to read up other people reviews because I trust her review. She have the same problem of whitehead like me with occasionally outbreak and this really reduced her whiteheads and now she only use it occasionally whenever new whiteheads appear. She recommended many of her friends which all gave a thumb up! So is a MUST TRY!

Tonight, is the 2nd night I applying it. Super like it so far! When I apply it, it was quite a nice minty and cooling feel on the skin and the gel texture is just right for my liking. It seems that the whiteheads are so easy to be squeezed out. Oop! slap my itchy hand, I know I shouldn't do that but I wanna see whether it really soften the whiteheads on the 2nd day. Yes, it did! lol~

I think it took a few days for the whiteheads and blackheads to be 'softened' up and became easy to remove. If you don't remove it, the gunk will still come out of your pores naturally after sometime (maybe within 2 week) as guaranteed above. Shall review the result again in another 2 weeks. I want even more beautiful skin soon, with this, my routine skincare, Lamor and praventac!

Tried out this three new foods; "BLT burger", coffee bun and wolfberries chocolate
My Saturday's supper; MacDonald new menu "turkey Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato". Super like the crispy turkey bacon.

Bakery shop in Boon Lay, just next to the hawker. They bake super nice bun, many different flavor. I tried their coffee po lo bao. One word "Shiok"! Must eat immediate while it is still fresh from oven.

Bought this in cold storage on Saturday, first time try this after hus read about it on newspaper. Very nice too!

Bought new kids' bowl, have been looking for this bowl size for months; this was big enough and the deep and width is just what I want, so the food get warm fast enough for the kids to eat easier and the width is wider so less likely for Aisleyne to mess the table with food. And most important that I want and have been looking for long is it can withhold high  temperature of up to 120 degree. I saw a number of really nice bowl but I always put back to the shelf after checking that the temperature it can withhold is the most 80 degree. because I always have to rush back to cook after work for the kids and by the time we reach home is already quite late, I don't want to wait for the food to cool down before pouring onto the bowl as it was delay their meal time.

and I saw a very nice straw cup, so bought it for them to draw water. but kanna regret cause I really don't know how to wash that straw part :(

Having their meals I cooked over the weekend using new bowl

mee sua on Satursday

I love how Amabel eat, fast and clean! Very seldom waste her food. She always tell her meimei "Must finish up your food, many children no food to eat and Mommy earn money not easy!" Lol~ that is what I alway telling them.

by the time I took this video, she is already almost going to finish her food.

As for the meimei, Aisleyne, I alway have a hard time getting her to eat fast because her mouth is DAMN SMALL!! Her mouth cannot stuff big portion of food.

Their mealtime Rule and Regulation that I set
1) don't talk whilst eating - this will slow down their eating
2) no toys or any other things on the table other than food and drink - this will distract their meal
3) lean forward abit near the bowl whilst eating - table manner, try not to dirty the table and waste the food
4) hand must always holding on to spoon/fork - to remind them that they are eating, get ready the next spoon feed

but Aisleyne always violate the rule and get cane and scold by me. I know she is trying very hard and she did improve much compare to the past.

Video of her
talkative again

I always scold her for holding on to her bag bag, bad habit which she is trying very hard to kick off.

Armswag, ring and nailpolish(gift) from stylenanda

me

Sunday morning, immediate right after waking up, drink a big glass of warm water (is a must every morning), before brushing my teeth; my way of detoxified! Make breakfast for the kids and after brushing my teeth, not even wash my face (don't wanna wash my face again after it get dirty with all the dusty housechore), I start get ready a pail of water, cloth and dettol, remove the carpet and furniture and clean my dirty ceiling fan!. This is always my job even when I have a maid.

eeerrr. thick coat of dust built up fast because of the construction nearby

standing up on my tea table rather than ladder because of the wider base, to reach the ceiling fan, haha this table can only withstand my 40kg weight
this is the dust in just one blade. aww....

how thick it is

I cleaned multi wash to get it all clean

Rearrange my storeroom to make more space for carton of toys in the guestroom, so my guestroom is more spacious now. My shoe cabinet is too full and the boxes of shoes in the storeroom is randomly placed until so messy, so I bought this shoe rack from groupon with better price. Now my storeroom is neater with this

then sweep the floor with my magic floor wiper. Super love this, cause is easy to use! I don't even need to bend down to change the cloth to another clean side

No banging of the handle stick on the floor, it can stand up straight on its own.
360 turning

So dirty always; strands of the 3 girls hairs in the house and threads/fibers from my $700+ carpet, every thread/fibers gone the $$. lolx

hand mop the floor and vacuum the carpet and put back the furniture

then washing and hanging of clothes

follow by mountain of clothes to fold

Everything done by evening time, I'm super exhausted, sweat so much and faster go shower and wash my face. Want to set up Christmas tree but was too tired to do so.

Jiejie Amabel, reading story book to meimei until she fell asleep. So funny~ lol~

We got a cousin group chat on whatapps talking about everything, so funny la

This girl really bring lot of laughters in our life. We cannot stop laughing at her funny hip-hop dance moves and actions and her often cannot make it, trying to seduce moves. She loves dancing, most of the time she just naturally dance without even music also. Nobody teach her, we wondering where she learns the dance moves from. haha~

Back home in the evening, waiting for bus

Angry Girl

She loves kissing peoples especially me. It is countless the number of times we kissing each other in a day. Lol~ but is uber sweet and loves For Amabel, she really dislike peoples kissing her lip, except me and hus. So Aisleyne got to ask her permission..."Can I Kiss You?" hahahahaha

The are my thousands of reasons to smile everyday! 😊 happy and thankful smile to end a day..everydays!!

title: Toddler seriously addicted to Iphone!
date: Friday, August 27, 2010
time : 12:48 AM

I first introduced the Iphone to my Big A was when I downloaded the educational games which somehow I find it quite good as in training a little of her brain, make her think and a little on her finger gesture. But after a while, she became a little obsessed with the phone and kept asking for it. I'm not worry about my elder girl as she is big enough to get my message and only fuss awhile when I refused to give it to her as she well knowing that I won't give in.

As for her meimei, I having hard time to kick off her habit of playing with my Iphone. She was first explored to Iphone when I used it as an entertainment for them when we're out having meals, we'll on the youtube and start playing her favourite "Thomas and Friends", "Mickey Mouse Playhouse" etc cartoons to keep them sit still to finish their meals. Being curious, she always grabs my Iphone and starts follow us sliding on the screen. Surprisingly, she knew a little on how to use it, then I started to teach her a little bit more by giving her play the educational games. With her nimble fingers, she can even take photographs, knowing how to exit a page and play games. Oh dear, we shouldn't! Now she is hooked to it. Whenever she saw my Iphone, she'll wants to hold on to it. Even if we give her watch youtube, we put it on the table for her to watch, she don't want, she cried to hold it. *headache* she became very obsessed with the phone and kept asking for it when she saw my phone, my bag (knowing that it is in there), or even when she see me. I have already banned her from playing it, she have been crying for a week when i refused to give her my phone to play when she is asking for it.

Every morning, she will ask for it and in the evening when I fetching her, she will ask for it again. Then board the car, immediately she ask for it again. Maybe too bore in the car, her mind is all on Iphone's game and cartoon. Argh..... making sooooo much noise in the car till we really cannot take it. But no I'm not giving in, so I have to bear with it. But hus think otherwise, he find it ok to let them play with the iphone. I insisted "No", in long term really not too good for a toddler, moreover lil A is super duper addicted which I find it really unhealthy, machiam like addicted to drug. I don't mind on and off she want to play, but now "Iphone seems to be alway in her mind". *headache*

Just this morning, I leaving lil A to cry in the bus, and I managed to video it down

"don't expect me to pacify you just because everyone are looking. This doesn't work on me. Try harder next time... I'm well trained by your sis last time, this is nothing to me now."

and when I fetched both my girls this evening, the first word Aisleyne said to me when she saw me is "IPHONE"

Faint!

Another video

My missy: "Thomas train...", " iPhone...", "mommy please give me iPhone"

Seriously addicted to Iphone!

Eling,

My boy started to love my iphone 2 years ago when it was launched here. We bought him a itouch instead without the radiation and all. he learnt alot from the educational games...and recently got him a ipad...but he doesnt seem to be so "addicted" to it after he was given one...so perhaps it is not a bad idea to let them play with it if we are selective with the apps.

Hi anonymous, yes radiation is one of the reason why I don't let my girls use it for too long, another reason is they don't know how to handle the phone with care. I will only let them see the education apps when I'm with them. And not more than 20mins. If not no I won't let them touch it but they alway finding way to get my phone without me knowing it. My phone damaged afew times due to this. So itouch, iPad is a no no for them too. I still find that story book, activity book, or physical kind of education stuff work better for a kids rather than getting an iPad specially for them as an educational material. Sorry! No offend just my personal view. :)

so she got used to it
ahhaha

Gave Kayson my iphone3gs as I bought a new one so he can play....
but I limit his time n I told him he cant DL games unless he ask for permission.

It is norm for kids to be so addicted to IT gads, even my mum is hooked to iPad!

"Mummy, iPad?" is Ethan's greeting message when I'm back from work n he'll follow me into my room n wait next to the iPad.

Haha, how cute. But things went for a turn when his wish is not granted, he'll cry! >.<

I limit him to play for an hr a day only n at times when he followed my instructions. He's not as addicted as Aisleyne. Small A powerful neh!!! LOL!

time : 2:47 AM

Just had a warm bath.
Yes usually my night shower is at this timing.
Cause both my precious are asleep and I'm free. And now I am blogging while expressing milk.
Got to make use of the time.
24 hours a day never enough for me.

I read this in a mag:
"My son is almost five and still has the habit of sucking his thumb. He says he doesn't realise he is doing it and also sucks his thumb when he sleeps. We think that this may be the cause of his front teeth sticking out. We have scolded him and even tried putting chilli sauce on his thumb but nothing seems to work. What else can we do?"

A reply from Dental Surgeons -->
"Thumb sucking is a perfectly normal habit for the infant and toddler, but when continued beyond two or three years old can lead to protruding front teeth, an "open" bite where his front teeth cannot come together when biting and a whole host of other problems that could mean many visit to the orthodontist's office later on ......"

*Headache*
Hence, I made a decision to intro pacifier to Aisleyne since she got the habit of sucking her thumb. But am I making the right decision?!? She has been sleeping through the night (about 8 hours) without asking for milk since she is 2 months old, now she is 10 weeks old.
Last few days, not yet intro her pacifier, she suck her thumb siong siong liao will remove herself when she's in deep sleep and if she needs comfort again she will automatic suck her thumb again, so I won't have to wake up to help her or pacify her.
Ever since I want to get her to suckle pacifier, at night she has been waking up for a few times cause I force her to suck her pacifier again instead of letting her suck the thumb. Everytime after some struggling (cause she don't want pacifier), she did suck the pacifier and fell back to sleep. When she in deep sleep, she stopped suckle and the pacifier fell off. Then when sudden she need comfort again, she cried and trying to put her thumb in her mouth to suck. When I woke up by her eheheh sound and saw her putting her thumb into her mouth, I will faster remove it and give her the pacifier instead and again she will struggle and want her thumb. Managed to get her suckle the pacifier and fell asleep, And I went back to sleep also. Then don't know how long later, the same thing happened again.
Kao whole night we are fighting over that + she don't know how to put back the pacifier so I got to do it for her. Faint!!
Argh....me more tiring than her.
So shall I let pacifier or thumb be her best friend??? Can some one advise if you experience this before? Hai...

But just now very funny... cause i don't want her to suck her thumb so i put on mitten (I never let her wear it since she is 2 months old) for her again.
She unable to suck her thumb anymore but she keeps trying to squeeze her whole hand into her mouth, searching for the thumb.
I just don't care and gave her pacifier, she cry for awhile then suckle the pacifier, after a few minutes I go to her, don't know how she managed to remove her mitten and were sucking her thumb and she sleeps until very siong like that.
Argh... I don't know how also.
Don't let her suck thumb is like disturbing her sleep leh.
Hai...
But still I think is better to have pacifier rather than sucking the thumb. Cause we won't know whether her hands are clean after those aunties or uncles shake or hold her hands right. And at least pacifier can wean off easier.

Another headache is till now she still refusing bottle feeding. Hai again....
Talk about that when I am free again. And will post some pics also.
Finished expressing milk now and gonna have a cup of milk (for breastfeeding mom) and go catch some sleep first before the battle start again.

i think dont give her pacifier. since she do without it for 10mths alrdy. after all, pacifier is not a good thing. you will still need to make her stop using it when she is older. most of the kids will suck thumb and oni very little of them continue sucking until very old. i think you should just let her continue sucking her thumb. its abit too early to stop her from sucking her own thumb. and try not to give her pacifier. cos i think in the end pacifier is more hard to get rid. =)

I thought pacifier is more easy to wean off. Amabel wean off when she is 14 months if i remember correctly. Sucking thumb, I cant remove her thumb right. I do heard afew cases where their kid cannot stop sucking their thumb even when they are in primary sch.

Now I'm working as a cow pumping milk, so I blog at the same time.

Were Super frustrated...

I really want to ban China products.
Bro bought me a 2Gb camera memory card when he went for a China trip with Dad.
So I happily use it to capture a video of my 小公主 sucking her thumb.
Everytimes I pull it off, she starts crying. Then suck again with a zhu zhu sound. Super cute!
Still thinking whether I shall let her has pacifier rather than sucking her thumb. Cause her hands may not be clean especially when there maybe peoples shaking, touching her hand.
Hubby keeps asking me to give her pacifier cause at least can wean off easier next time and is clean.
So just now want to upload it to youtube but my card reader device keep unable to detect it.
Tried very long, but still cannot.
Tried back the old one that I have, can leh so definitely is not my card reader device malfunction.

Hai... sad.

So I just now capture a video of Aisleyne sucking her thumb again(using old memory card) after I latch on her for her last feed.
She is sucking her thumb for comfort and now she is sleeping soundly already.

Here a video of it. P/S: Pause my blog background music before viewing the video
