my make-up haul items for this look

Photo is the untouched quality of iphone 5. Due to the iphone photography quality and lighting, so can't really see the quality of the makeup. Sorry cause I too lazy to take out my cam for professional shot of my makeup.

I received quite lot of requests (here and from my email and FB PM) to write on my makeup haul items. Aiyo, deeply sorry for my laziness that this took a very long time. So I hope I can compensate you with this post first since these are not all HG makeup items I'm using. There are some more actually and I only have one face so I can't put everything on my face at one time and with the free time I get is difficult. So will do the rest in another post.

All the items I used below doesn’t break me out or clog my combination to oily skin. The number sequence is my usual makeup step. Look like I'm using a lot of items yea but for me I don't usually makeup everyday, so once awhile take sometime doing a nice makeup is still ok. lol~ anyway the longer time I take is only when I'm trying very hard to conceal my tear trough (undereye groove). The rest is very fast!

1. After applying my usual skincare regimen. I will start my make-up with Miracle Real Skin Finish as a base, it’s a multi cream with sun screen and whitening function that treats your skin tone-up, even out the complexion (not cover up blemishes though) and makes your bare skin look bright. I'm yellow toned and this Miracle Real Skin Finish is really light and white and will lighten one’ skin tone, so have to blends it really well into my skin. It’ll still looks like your skin, but smoother and brighter skin. I suggest not putting too much on your face so that you don't end up pale as a ghost. A little goes a looooong way.

[Directions] Take out the right amount according to your skin tone, apply it to the face

2. Apply my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Portion on my eyes area. The original formula goes on invisible and makes the foundation, eyes concealer and eyes make-up long-lasting. Love the way this primer keeps the shadow from creasing, it helps with the color pigment, and helps the staying time of the eye shadow and undereye concealer

[Directions] A sweep of it at the eye area before applying my face foundation and undereye concealer and a sweep of this miracle product before my favorite eyeshadow.

3. Cover my pores with Z-Pore Instant Pore Refiner. Love it as it really refines our pores and it control oil and reduces shine, good for oily skin. Still most of the time I skip this step.

[Directions] Apply a small amount over areas with visible pores.

4. Apply my all-time favorite Stylenanda 3CE Liquid Foundation. The color blends in really well and looks extremely natural which I'm extremely loving it. This is a very light foundation so if you're looking for a foundation with more coverage you would probably have to use concealer. There's a yellow tint to the foundation which is great also since I’m more to yellow tone. The thing about this foundation is that it smells good too. I don't even need to use my Enprani Autopat Applicator Device for blending my foundation for beautiful finish.

5. Not always using this but sometime I will either mix a little of this Stylenanda 3CE Glossing Waterful Foundation into the above Stylenanda 3CE Liquid Foundation for overall more dewy look or I will apply little of this on my forehead, cheeks area and chin to stand out these area for dewy healthy look after applying the above Stylenanda 3CE Liquid Foundation, which I did for the above makeup. For best glossy, dewy and healthy flawless skin result, it is recommended to use this alone, not with any after finishing powder too. Due to its light texture, it can't cover up flaw and blemishes perfectly, so if you don't have perfect skin, this is not for you.

*5. Benefit Posie Tint, is a poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain solution for the cheekiest flush you can get from a bottle with hours of smudge-proof. This blush is really lovely on fair skin and give a nice pale pink flush, the glow from within type of look which I really love as I have really pale looking skin. This is the first cheek stain I have ever used. It has a cute bright pink and it blends nicely but I got to blend it really fast as possible or otherwise I will end up with uneven intensity of color.
[Direction] Brush three strokes on apples of cheeks after the base foundation and blend quickly with fingertips. For a deeper "pop" of colour, repeat.

6. I use Kate Covering Concealer for undereyes, as an overall corrector for my undereyes. It offers very subtle coverage that builds easily enough but won’t cover major issues. I like it none the less; find it good as a corrector. The concealer is available in two shades both of which have a heavier yellow base which diffuses darkness but I as said it doesn’t conceal dark circle well.

7. Yves Saint Laurent TOUCHE ECLAT Radiant Touch Luminizing Pen to highlight and conceal just the dark circle area. TOUCHE ÉCLAT banishes shadows and tired-looking eyes by adding light and creating an instant lift to the eye area. TOUCHE ÉCLAT widens eyes when used between the eyebrows and along the sides of the nose, and creates fuller looking lips when used in the hollow of the chin and around the contour of the lips.

8. Lancôme Teint Miracle Instant Retouch Pen to focus in banishes the shadow caused by my tear trough groove, as it is more powerful in doing that than YSL TOUCHE ECLAT. This is the first Lancôme perfecting pen enriched with micro-fluorescent particles for a surge of true, natural light. I don't blend it using my finger but a very small flat brush to slowly build up and highlight the precise area that the shadow cast. I love it so much cause, the portable pen can be used anytime anywhere to retouch - illuminating, smoothing, and visibly eliminating imperfections, even after putting on the powder(if you know the technique, you can do it beautifully)

9. I set my undereyes with Covermark Loose powder as this powder really do a better job in highlighting better my really bad undereye tear trough and dark circle. The powder particles are finely translucent, does not affect the color of the Foundation. It diffuses the light skin, hitting the classy-looking complexion. Fine lines are less visible and it repels sweat and water.
[Direction] Use after Foundation / undereyes concealer. Please use the containers on puff upset, and contained in the dosage puff powder, gently apply pressure to the skin.

Cosme Decorte AQ Modeling Nuancer, it has ultrafine texture, its glides super smoothly on skin, smoothes the appearance on pores and uneven skin tone with its ultrafine texture and soft focus efficacy. Creates sharpness using highlighting & shading.

10. The white highlighter, they are not shimmery and do a great job in highlighting my nose bridge, forehead, upper cheeks area and chin.

11. The contour shade is a cool ashy brown which is fab for contouring the sides of the face (I don't do this most time, but instead using another shading powder at the much later step below) and the side along my nose bridge. Most important is they are really buildable and can be use after applying the powder.

12. This Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer – High Pigment Camouflage is a great full coverage concealer that can conceal blemishes and hyperpigmentation (dark spots), but is still lightweight. As a bonus, it’s also waterproof. I used it to cover my pigmentation and dark spot on the above look and it cover super well. Thumb up!!

13. After the base and concealing are all done, I will set with Jill Stuart Loose Powder - 01 Natural as the lightest suitable for pale skin tone ladies. The loose powder is very finely milled for very smooth polished looking skin. It has a very nice pleasant fragrance.
[Direction] Use after Foundation. Please use the containers on puff upset, and contained in the dosage puff powder, gently apply pressure to the skin. Or apply lightly using powder brush.

Touch-up -> I use this Heroine Make Smooth Cover Powder Clear, mainly as a touch up when I'm out. This Smooth Cover Powder Clear is meant to be used as a finishing powder or for touch ups on the go. It feels quite finely milled and silky. When applied, it makes my skin appear slightly fairer and more polished.
[Direction] Use the puff that come with the compact powder, gently apply pressure to the skin.

14. Next come to eyes area makeup, I start with applying my HG eyeliner, KOJI - Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner. The felt skinny tip is so precise, that I can really get a thin line from it, or a thick one if you hold it at an angle. The liner is extremely opaque black and did not smudge and lasts all day, which is something no other liner can do. I always use it to apply on my upper waterline and to fill in the gaps between the lashes and yet I didn't smudge and stay for hoursss. I can see why everyone raves about this though it is pricey, but I promise you will not be disappointed with this eyeliner!

15. Then I will use this Maybelline waterproof Master Liner Cream Pencil to apply along the upper lash line and lightly on underline to soften the Black liquid eyeliner I applied before this.The thing I don't like about this was it's a little bit clumpy and not so creamy and pigmentation is not good enough that when I applied this eyeliner on my eyes it's like tugging my eyelid; it doesn't glide on smoothly but overall still look ok. It's quite difficult to get a opaque color but well it's buildable so I need a few strokes to get opaque color but anyway what I need is a natural result so 1 or 2 strokes is enough.I kept this in my makeup pouch often as a touch up

16. Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow. I dont have to say much about this NAKED eyeshadow. Everyone raved and knew about it because of the colours and amazing pigmentation. The reason I love this Naked Palette by Urban Decay and NAKED 2 is that I can make any conceivable attractive eye look in one palette. I'm using Darkhorse for the above look.

17 18. Many know that Koreans are obsessed with Aegyo Sal and many Korean girls even went to have a surgery done to get Aegyo Sal. Aegyo Sal is the term for the little puffy bags (It's more like the little fat underneath the eyes) underneath your eyes which makes you look more youthful, but this is not the dark rings / dark circle. I always feel that one with little fat underneath the eyes (Aegyo Sal) are nicer even before it went on trend and I do have that but only when I smile.Now I can have a more obvious Aegyo Sal without surgery and just with the use of makeup! This item came with as a double ended stick where in one end it has a soft brown color and on the other end it has a shiny pink color. It's main purpose is to make your Aegyo Sal more obvious and bigger and brighter for a more younger look!

[Direction] They blend in really nicely but they are quite sheer though so I need to apply them 2-3 times to get them to be really noticeable.

17 18. It does make my eyes more charming and big that I'm addicted to drawing my Aegyo Sal now! What I don't like about this is that it get erased through the day. So I use this Pdc Japan-Pmel TEAR-BUKURO Essence Eye Color, to touch up more on the highlighted area for Aegyo Sal.

19. and also I use Etude House Drawing Eye Brow, #03 Brown to lightly draw along the line underneath the little eyebags.

20. Before the last step, putting falsie, I will apply Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils for my lower eyelashes. I don't apply mascara on my upper lashes since I'm using falsie. It is not launch in Singapore yet so I got my friend to bought it overseas for me.

21.Darkness eyelashes and double eyelid glue is the best glue I ever used. I used it to stick my falsie. For more natural looking falsie look, I most of the time, stick the falsie under my real eyelashes rather than stack on top of my real lashes so it won't look that dramatic and unnatural on me. Does anyone did that too like me? curious!!

Then I will use the same Darkness glue to even or make my double eyelid alittle bit higher by applying it along the double eyelid with the height I want to achieve, dap it to even and blend in the glue onto the eyeshadow before using the stick that come along with the glue to achieve the eyelid line I want.

The above lashes is a gift from my niece, Leann. Knew from her that she bought it at Bugis Village.

22. Then will come to drawing my eyebrow. I thanks my parents for giving me a full nice brows. But I will still use eyebrow pencil to even my brows and achieve a more beautiful shape. For the above pic, I'm using this Bobbi Brown Crayon Sourcils Brow Pencil in Grey. The texture of this Bobbi Brown eyebrow pencil looks powdery and is blendable; giving me a natural look of eyebrow powder. It came with their own sharpener.

23. Sometime I will neaten to keep my brow in shape, since my brow are pretty long too. Many needed to lighten brows to match own hair color, my hair is lightly brown than my brows and since a normal eyebrow pencil does nothing to lighten the brows, not even the lightest of shades so I'm using Kate eyebrow colour, BR-1 here. Having lighter eyebrows will also soften one's features, so I won't look so fierce with strong brows. It is easy to apply just like applying mascara to your eyes! Also, it does not fade, and is non-sticky.. to help fix my brows shape.

[Direction] Comb the wand through the hairs, not onto the skin. You should gently apply it against the growth of your brow hair, so start apply from the outside of your face towards inside, then inside to outside to even it out. Use a separate mascara or brow wand to blend the product out evenly.

Next come to further contouring of face, which really gives my face nice dimension.

24. Following with using this shade (Kate Designing eyebrow kit, EX-5) to further enhancing and soften the side of my nose bridge from beginning of the brow all the way down to tip. This is actually a brow kit and it comes with a double ended brush and the colors are perfectly suitable for light or dark hair as it came with 3 colours shade. These shades come off very sheer and this is actually what I love about this powder for contouring the nose. I don't always use this for my brows but is my favorite as contouring powder for my nose for light contour touch up.

25. I have quite sharp face shape so sometime I don’t do this step. But what I did for the above pic is that I coutour along the side of my forehead to the jaw using the 1,2,3 stroke method (I don't know how to elaborate on that lol). I bought this Canmake Shading Powder , #01 after watching Thai model’s video about contouring which she used the same shading powder. It looked so amazing on her that I told myself I have to get it the next day! The shading powder is matte, smooth, blendable and not too dark for my fair skin which I like since I don’t need too much is contouring my face shape. Only thing is that the lasting power is not very good.

26. After shading will be highlighting with Stylenanda 3CE Shimmer Stick. Highlighter is important because it can totally change your beauty look give a beautiful face dimension. If applied correctly, it gives a glowing, reflective dewy look that emphasise a healthy and beautiful skin.With this it gives a healthy glowing moisturised skin.

[Direction] I apply it on my T-zone area, cheekbones, temples, the two corners of your lips and lastly your chin.

Touch up -> I will use this Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Colour in WT905 High Beam White (highlighter) as a further touch-u to bring out more on the feature. I didn't bring my stylenanda shimmery stick out so ended up I using this as a touch up on highlighting area after I touch up my face powder. This is a nice natural highlighter. It's a satiny white highlighter which isn't super obvious until the light hits it. It's very smooth and blends easily. I use this as a touch up when needed on top of my cheek bones and I'll also dust a little on my forehead and on the bridge of my nose. Sometime I'll use it to highlight underneath my brows but I don’t do this for the look in the pic above.

27. Initially I just planned to apply Benefit Posie tint at the above step for the inside out glow flush look but I ended up sweeping with this The Balm FRAT BOY blush for more rosy cheek look. Good in photograph actually. This is my all time favorite blushes! It is a beautiful peachy pink colored blush suits many skintones and that looks really natural. FratBoy is Talc-free, with finely-graded powder formula and It's pigmented enough to show up on the deepest complexion and versatile enough to look good on the lightest complexion in 1 or 2 strokes and with this blush... it lasts through all day - no touch up is needed!

Using most of the brush from Loveybelle.com which come super handy as it consists of all type of brushes that one needed; 13 pcs of makeup brush set which I reviewed here before

Lastly apply my favourite 28. Lip nude Concealer and gloss, #01 which I got it from Watson. I think you can find it at Sasa too. Here how the colour look like on my lip in these videos

many years back, i use the whole set of Covermark and the coverage is really good from base to loose powder but later realize their retail store is shrinking . in the market too many choice so not using anymore..looking back i think covermark coverage is pretty good.

I got the set of this Covermark too that is why I have this loose powder. Do they still selling that? I bought many set last time, and still have one set with me, one can last me very looong hopefully still can use for not opening it. I don't use their foundation anymore(that come with the set, though that foundation used to be my fav), I don't know why. lol~

Hmm, sorry i don't know if they are still selling the set but sometime back i saw they have relocated to a small , small store at Taka Mens level (you know, located along the lane of mens cologne/parfume). i was surprised to see covermark downsize so much but still glad to know they are within reach if we need anything . haha i know what you mean when you said used to be favorite but don't know why switch to something else ..too much of makeup candy offered by brands everywhere make our hears fluttered ba hahaa

oh by the way, i used to love their concealer! excellent coverage but after my skin type change , i also naturally use other brand . a cabin crew friend of mine use their concealer to pass their swimming test hehehe!

clinique concealer i heard is good too esp for their undereye series.
sometimes bb cream coverage is also good for everything without a dedicated concealer.

a little concealing goes a long way. a good skin base is the most important like yours so rosy and pretty! :)
