date: Sunday, November 16, 2008 time : 3:24 PM Bathing Time for Aisleyne + A visit to Marina Barrage Amabel is down with flu and cough for the past few days. Never bring her to the PD, not because we want to save on the exp bill, usually we don't send her to the clinic unless she starts getting more worst. Glad that her body handle it pretty well and baby Aisleyne never caught the bug so far. We just don't feel comfortable feeding too much med to children esp baby. Aisleyne is down with flu when she is less than 1 month old. Mil asked me to bring her to see PD since she is still so small but I didn't. As long as there is no fever develop and the flu is not really that bad till blocked nose, we will just let her body fight with the virus rather than getting the med/drug to do the job. We are trying to build up her immunity with caution. And yah think is the breastmilk do the wonder. She recovered herself not long after. Baby Amabel never ever develops fever after any of her vaccinations, so my house always got a lot of unopened paracetamol and end up I throwing it away and only keeps the recent one bottle for standby in case having fever. So far baby Aisleyne never develops any fever after vaccination too hope she won't get the fever for the next few jabs too. She will be going to have her next 6-in 1 jab next month. Eager to know her weight but I know she is growing very well every time I loosen her anklet. Yesterday baby Aisleyne turns 3 month. Really thanks her for always making me smile for the past 3 months when I feel down. Her head is very stable now and have been sleeping through since 2 month old and stay awake more during the day. So yesterday hubby not working OT, he brought us to Marine Barrage. Glad that it is a cloudy and windy day and made our trip a presence one. Before headed to there, we went to Old airport road, wanna have the famous TPY rojak but suay the stall did not open. And we had wanton mee instead. Hubby said will go next friday then. Yeah!! He always bring me to have famous, nice and yummy food around Singapore. Now I think of those delicious food and it made me drooling. Pic taken on 15 Nov 08 We trying to self take the photos with 4 of us squeeze in but it turn out to be like this for the first take. We couldn't stop laughing at it, cause Amabel turns out to be hiding behind our heads. Pram + baby carrier + sling pouch + fridge-to-go + giant diaper bag; that is what we must bring when we are out now. Grouchy Da A needs to have a milk feed now + a blankie. This Daddy girl insisted her Dad to feed her. Under the table... Way to the car and back home before the rain came Once we got back in the evening, Mommy chose to do a quick shower for baby Aisleyne instead of the usual sponge clean at night cause she was a bit sticky. Mommy has been the one shower for baby Aisleyne for the past 2 months and the helper will be standing beside to see how the mommy does it. Mommy will be like parrot keeps explaining what to do and what not to. What precautions and safety need to be taken; like water temperature, the way to carry baby esp when their head is still not stable etc What to take notes with care especially when washing the head need to be very soft and gentle cause there is two fontanelle (The anterior fontanel - on the top of the head and the posterior fontanel, toward the back of the head), and also when cleaning the labia that need extra care What to use and what not to use like for cleaning tongue and eyes got to use sterilise gauze and cotton ball. Got to alway do step by step, every step is important. Most important make a shower time a happy one to Aisleyne, never ever frighten her. Keep talking to her and tell her what you gonna to do next. Mommy keep reminding the helper once and once again everything before she decided to let the helper hand-on last week. And Mommy awarded the helper a "Pass" haha So for the past 2 months, Mommy only get to sleep after 2am after her usual manufacturing of milk. That is also the only time where Mommy got some free time blogging, surfing blog of friends after both A get to their slumberland. The next day, Mommy will be waken by the helper to bath for Aisleyne @ 9.15am after she brush her teeth. Mommy got to bear with the engorgement pain and bath for Aisleyne first before she get to pump milk again. Here it is, lucky my helper never video my face too much if pardon me for the shaggy face w/o makeup. Hope I won't scare anyone off. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 So yesterday Mommy wanna video it down again cause in another few days time, she won't be able to shower for baby Aisleyne every days. Sob sob.... Aisleyne is a bit fussy cause is time to have her milk feed. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Me camwhoring again. hehe... Labels: babycare, My Gallery, My Video ADVERTISEMENTS

date: Wednesday, June 25, 2008 time : 10:44 AM JAUNDICE I just commented on HH's blog. Poor Jaerio having high level jaundice. I could understand how sad it can be to see own baby being alway poke for blood test. Something on jaundice which is good to know for new mommy. Just my personally view, after some read up and also finding out about jaundice from PD when Amabel is having very mild jaundice for the two months. But I continue sunbathe her till she up to four months. I found that most parent came to think that breastfeeding caused the seriousness of jaundice. Breastfeeding jaundice is not a cause of worry. Breastfed babies may be jaundiced up to 3-4 months, at levels which are usually not dangerous. So never come to the conclusion of stop breastfeeding. In fact breastmilk jaundice is very common in all breastfed babies as there is something in breastmilk that causes increased intestinal absorption of bilirubin (substance that causes jaundice). If only suspected breastmilk jaundice reaches very high, usually the doctors will recommend an interruption to breastfeeding to bring it down. Whist breastmilk jaundice doesn't result in brain damage, there may be other pathological causes that aggravate the jaundice and the doctors would need to determine that and to do so, they may ask you to stop breastfeeding so that they can do accurate blood tests. So some doctor will ask the mother to stop breastfeed just for the sick of doing accurate blood tests. Hence, I don't think there is a need to totally stop breastfeeding. Perhaps can just temporary stop giving the baby breastmilk. Instead, store it in the freezer (can keep up to 6 weeks) and give it to the baby once the level is down and continue breastfeed thereafter, so the baby can still enjoy the beneficial of the breastmilk. There is a few types of jaundice, so don’t ever think that it is definitely the breastmilk that caused it. If there is a need for an interruption to breastfeeding, doctor will be able to advise you. I think that many people misunderstood when doctor ask them to stop breastfeeding due to jaundice, so they may think the main cause of the jaundice is BREASTMILK, But the main reason is partly because, by doing so, the doctor can do accurate blood tests to determine the cause. There may be other conditions that cause an exaggeration of this type of jaundice, such as a more rapid than normal breakdown of red blood cells. Because these conditions have no association with breastfeeding, breastfeeding should continue. So If the baby has severe jaundice due to rapid breakdown of red blood cells, this is not a reason to take the baby off the breast. Breastfeeding should continue. Physiologic jaundice develops in all babies (although it may be very slight and not noticeable) sometime after the first day of life because their organs are not yet able to eliminate excess bilirubin effectively. If noticeable, the yellowing of the skin and eyes usually appears about 24 hours after birth and increases until about the third or fourth day. Most often, the blood bilirubin level then gradually lowers, and the yellowing fades or disappears in about a week without causing problems. Breast-feeding jaundice is actually caused by mild dehydration, which prolongs and intensifies physiologic jaundice. Dehydration contributes to jaundice because it makes removing bilirubin from the body even harder for babies' immature systems. Breast-feeding jaundice can occur when a baby does not get enough fluids, most often because feedings are spaced too far apart. If feedings become more frequent, this type of jaundice decreases or resolves very fast after birth. Breast milk jaundice is a rise in bilirubin levels that occurs about 10 to 14 days after birth. It is likely related to how certain components of breast milk affect bilirubin elimination in the infant. Breast milk jaundice usually begins to fade by the second month, although a slight yellow tint may be visible throughout the duration of breast-feeding.It is alright to breastfeed and you should breastfeed even though your baby is jaundiced. Suggested that to minimize jaundice, you nurse your baby right after delivery and you can start the first nursing within 30 minutes of delivery. You can insist that no formula, water or other fluids be given as there is scientific evidence that this can exacerbate the problem. For my case, Amabel was sent to me for breastfeeding within an half after delivery and I total breastfeed her every 2 hours though she never drink much due to the sleepy spell . But I believe that's partly the reason why Amabel only suffered mild jaundice and recovered fast. Labels: babycare, Breastfeeding, My views ADVERTISEMENTS
title: How to wash baby clothing?
date: Wednesday, June 04, 2008 time : 6:58 PM How to wash baby clothing? (My method) Since I am double checking on this so thought of writing it out my method of handling baby clothing. Washing baby clothes is an important task that should be given a little bit different attention than washing clothes for the rest of the family. After all, infants’ clothes are smaller and their skin is more sensitive to whatever materials they wear. Infants deserve extra consideration when it comes to their daily wear. Keeping your little one's clothes fresh and clean is an important way of providing quality care and affection. Because a baby's skin is so delicate, it is important to take proper care of all of their clothing. When washed correctly using the right detergents, you can ensure that your baby will feel comfortable and cozy in all of their clothes. In addition, you would be able to prolong the life of all of their clothing as long as you take the proper care steps. I know that there is a lot of different method of washing and handling baby dirty clothing by different parent. I do hear that few mommies actually mix the baby clothing with adult clothing to wash. There are no hard rules but I still prefer my ways of washing and handle baby clothing after some finding. After all I am more concern about their delicate skin that may result with rashes and allergies due to mites caused by the clothing This is what I do and ensure; (in the mid of finding out more) Hand Wash 1. Brand new baby clothing that I have purchased I will make sure it is washed before wear. Not only can this make the clothing softer, you are also eliminating the risk of residue from the manufacturing process from touching your baby's skin. 2. Separate all of the baby clothing into darks and lights piles, just as you would for the rest of the clothing in your family. This will help to make sure that none of the darker clothing bleeds color onto lighter clothes. 3. If I am unsure of the detergent that I have whether can be use on baby clothing? Then I don't use it! Nothing can be more heartbreaking than seeing my precious baby suffering from a rash that was caused by the detergent. This can be an irritant, especially if your little one is prone to skin conditions such as eczema. 4. Use a baby-safe laundry detergent cause other type of detergent will irritate the baby's skin when used. Follow directions on the package and use a moderate amount. Too much detergent can be harsh to a baby's skin. Too little, on the other hand, means the clothes may not become thoroughly clean or deodorized. 5. Avoid using chemical additives like bleach, or fabric softener. 6. Keep two laundry baskets in the kitchen to receive the baby’s dirty diaper in one basket and dirty clothes in another basket. 7. We clean and clear the basket daily, taking care to remove stains and prevent odors from building up. 8. Small buckets for pre-soaking clothing 9. Soiled diaper will immediately rinse it and soak in water 10. Wash cloth diapers separately, this will prevent the possible transfer of bacteria from diapers to clothing. 11. I use warm to hot water to soak baby clothing and diaper with Pigeon liquid detergent to kill germs and mites. Check the fabric labels to be ensuring the item can safely make it through a regular wash in hot water. 12. Launder some items by hand or we scrub the baby dirty clothing and diaper with Pigeon powder detergent. Make sure it is rinse thoroughly to avoid detergent residue. 13. Be sure that the clothes dry completely to discourage the development of mold or mildew and fold promptly to avoid wrinkles that can make the baby feel uncomfortable. Will iron some of the clothes that need to be ironed before folding or hanging up in the wardrobe. I also find out about the use of using Machine Wash. Whether it is hand wash or machine wash is the same though. But I actually don’t really preferred machine wash though is more convenient cause machine wash will spoil the shape of the delicate clothing especially for baby clothes. Will do the following if I need to resort in Machine Wash. 1. If diapers are particularly soiled, rinse them before placing in the washing machine. Machine wash the cloth diapers in load in per machine-wash, and baby clothing in another machine wash. 2. Use the delicate wash cycle if it is indicated. Warm or cold water will work for the rinse step, so set the washing machine dials accordingly before starting the load. 3. Add a baby-safe laundry detergent. Follow directions on the package and use a moderate amount. Too much detergent can be harsh to a baby's skin. Too little, on the other hand, means the clothes may not become thoroughly clean or deodorized. 4. Avoid using chemical additives like bleach or fabric softener. 5. Use the right cycle for the type of clothing being washed to ensure proper washing. 6. If got a dryer machine. Use a warm or high dryer setting. This will continue killing germs that may have survived the laundry wash. 6. Be sure that the clothes dry completely to discourage the development of mold or mildew and fold promptly to avoid wrinkles that can make the baby feel uncomfortable. Will iron some of the clothes that need to be ironed before folding or hanging up in the wardrobe. Labels: babycare ADVERTISEMENTS

date: Friday, April 25, 2008 time : 5:45 PM Baby Abdomen's Massage Constant crying is a normal occurrence in newborns. Colic is one of the most common reported ailments in infants aged 3 weeks to about 3 or 4 months. Extended periods of loud crying lasting longer than an hour are trademarks of the ailment, and are most frequent after being fed or late into the evenings. What causes gas in infants? 1. Swallowed air Swallowed air is the most common cause of gas in the stomach and is the major reason for burping. Swallowing some air is unavoidable. Big and small alike, we all swallow air. Infants swallow air… • During breast or bottle feeding - Eating or drinking quickly greatly increases the amount of air swallowed. • While eating solid foods. • During episodes of intense crying. • When swallowing saliva. • While vigorously sucking on a pacifier. In a breast feed infant, swallowing large amounts of air may be linked to a poor latch-on and/or a fast and plentiful supply of breast milk. In a bottle fed infant, swallowing large amounts of air may be due to an unsuitable feeding teat. 2. Normal digestion Acid produced in the stomach is neutralized by pancreatic secretions as it passes into the intestines (bowel) and the resulting interaction creates gas as a by-product. Some of this gas is absorbed into the blood stream and exhaled out of the lungs. The rest of the gas will continue through the bowel and is passed as flatus. 3. Incomplete breakdown of milk or food A small number of babies may experience excessive gas (along with many of the other symptoms associated with gas) due to an inability to adequately digest one or more of the proteins and/or carbohydrates (sugar and starches) found in milk (including infant formula), juices and/or some foods. This is due to insufficient production of particular digestive enzymes, believed to be related to an immaturity of an infant’s digestive tract. Technique in Massaging Infant’s Abdomen Very important * It must be extremely gently. No large strength is need. Just place your hand on the skin surface and gently stroke. * You may want to use a little massage oil or lotion on your hands before beginning. For me I don’t use anything since is just a very gentle abdomen massage on the baby skin surface which don’t need rubbing. I always do in the following sequence; 1.) Paddlewheel Use both your hands (palm and fingers) lying flat starting on the upper part of the stomach. Move in clockwise motion for both hand; right hand move to form a half circle (start at the upper stomach and end at the lower part of the stomach) lift up and place back to the starting point and repeat, whereas left hand continuously always move clockwise in full circle (no stop). X 5 times This motion will move the gas around, making it easier to pass for the infant. 2.) Long strokes. Place your palm on the infant’s chest, with fingers of each hand pointing towards the opposite of the child's shoulder. Draw one of the hands downward along the stomach, towards their diaper, follow by another hand. Repeat with slow, gentle motions. X 5 times 3.) I LOVE YOU Strokes Use one of your hands. For me I’m right-handed so use my right hand. To draw a ‘I’; Place your hand on the upper center stomach, draw downward along the stomach towards the baby’s diaper (this form a ‘I’ to the baby and you) To draw a ‘L’; Place your hand on the upper right side of the baby’s stomach, draw horizontally to the center of the baby stomach and draw down to their diaper. (This form a ‘L’ to the baby, but your direction it will be a inverted ‘L’ or it is a ‘7’ to you) To draw a ‘U’; Place your hand on the lower right side of the baby’s stomach, draw a inverted ‘U’ (to baby it is a “U”) toward the upper center to the lower left side of the baby’s stomach. As I stroke, I said ‘I’, ‘Love’ You’ to my girl in soft tone. For my maid I don’t ask her to say that. Lol~ Do this 5 times. 4.) Bubble Tapping Use one of your hands; tap your fingers continuously in a clockwise circular motion on the baby’s stomach. This will break the bubble in the baby’s stomach. X 5 times 5.) Pooing Method Gently grab your baby both legs in each hand. Place your infant's heel next to their bottom by bending the knee. With the leg still bent, move the thigh towards their stomach until it rests on their tummy. Must be gently!! Move the other leg to this position as well. Slowly and carefully move the legs in a bicycle pattern. The infant may be confused at first, but they grow to love it. X 5 times. Usually this step; Amabel will fart!! 6.) Sway Side to Side Carry the baby by their armpit/chest with your hands; sway the baby side by side (to the left then right) in slow and gentle motion x 3 times. Then place the baby on your lap, with your hand griped the baby over their chest. Pad her back and burp her. If I do this after milk feed. Amabel always burp within 3minutes. I used to take about 15minute to get her burp if not she won’t burp. Until I used this method, she burps. This is enough to encourage a healthy digestive system, ease symptoms of colic, and promote a quiet and restful evening. ** I always do this after her milk feed to get her to burp and digest well. If not will be whenever her abdomen is bloated. ** Do not massage your baby’s abdomen if he/she has hiccups. The videos taken above is when I am in my office, so I can only use a cushion to act as a baby abdomen. Because is too rush in taking the video and no one is helping so I cannot concentrate in counting the number of times I do for each method and the strength I use is a bit harsh lah. Sorry is the video not clear enough cause I'm using my mobile to take it. This is how I burp baby ... There are a number of different ways you can assist your baby to burp. With all burping methods you need to hold your baby in a upright or semi-upright position Babies often bring up a little milk with a burp, so it may be helpful to have a burping cloth, cloth diaper or towel handy. If your baby often spits up large amounts of milk, suggested the burping method like; over your shoulder or on your knee, which will keep her in an upright position but apply less pressure to her tummy. 1. Over your shoulder Hold your baby in an upright position against your chest, with her head resting on your shoulder. Gently cup and pat the baby’s back or cup and pat using a upward motion. 2. On your knee Sit your baby sideways on your knee. Support her head by placing your thumb and index finger under her jaw just below her ears. (Take care your hand is not pressing against her neck). Lean her forward slightly, resting her tummy against the heel of your hand. Gently cup and pat or cup and pat the baby’s back using a upward motion using your free hand 3. Over your knee Lay your baby face down over your crossed legs. Position her so that your upper leg provides gentle pressure to her tummy. Support her head with one hand and pat or rub her back with your other. I saw this method when at my hospital stay in TMC, the nurse is doing this to my girl when burping her, but I don’t feel comfortable with this method Something to share also ... If your baby is suffering from constipation. After the bath or early in the morning when the baby wake up, grab your baby leg up a bit and move the leg in a circular motion clockwise 10 times and do this the same for the other leg. Hold the other leg up again and move in anti-clockwise 10 times and do the same for another leg. Just that simple to soften the stool and get the baby to pass motion though not immediate effect. Hope I explained it clear as I am writing this in a rush. Labels: Baby massage, babycare ADVERTISEMENTS
title: Bathing infant and toddler
date: time : 12:48 AM Bathing Infant and Toddler This post is for Lynn since she is asking me about bathing of infant/toddler and their fear of bathing. Really sorry for unable to chat with her over msn on this as I was busy that day so I must else blog on this here. I think that if no proper procedures of bathing is carry out, it may result in infant/toddler being fear of bathing. Just sharing how I actually bathe Amabel when she is a newborn and Bathing should be a special time between parent and baby. You will want to use this time to bond. Toddler bathing Since Amabel knows how to walk and no longer using bathtub for bathing. I often bathe together with her. Both of us enjoy a lot. Whenever my maid is showering her hair, she always cries. Maid doesn’t know how to coax her. She never cry when I bath her cause I never let her get frighten with water running into her eyes. I play with her while bathing with her favourite bathing toys. When she scare of water running from her head. I play with her the raining game, telling her is raining, the raining water is dropping down from your head to toe and she doesn’t cry but enjoy it and find it fun. Here are some tricks to get her splashing happily. This is what I do now. Entice with a toy. We fill the tub with water and her favorite floating toys. Let her play with the toys while outside of the tub (under supervision). I do reserve a few special toys solely for bathtime. Use a different "bathtub." Baby may getting bored with her current bath. Try a smaller tub (confining her to a smaller area may make her feel safer). I use this now to bath her... Enjoy a bath for two (I do ask my maid play with her during bath, to make it an enjoyable one). I bathe with her together of course won't allow my maid to do that. I play with her toys and show her my enjoyment of the toys and I splash around the water too. She will want to join in the fun, go into washing until she really think of bathtime as fun time. Massage rather than bathe. I gently massage the shower gel on her. Massaging is relaxing and also great for baby bonding. Wash her with long, gentle strokes so that she feels she's getting a wet massage rather than a bath. Swimming I bring her for a swim, getting her to enjoy a pool will help in getting her to like bathing. Once she learns how much fun it is to play around in the water again, you'll find that her bathing fears will soon be washed away. If none of these tricks conquers their phobia, stick to sponge-bathing her twice a week (taking extra care for the diaper area) and washing her hair once a week. With time, this fear phase will pass and she will be ready to return to the tub. Here I shall share also what I have learnt in an infant care course and adhere to in bathing my girl when she is an infant. Tub bathing Infant Basics I bath my girl once a day in the morning during the first few months cause more frequent bathing may be drying to the skin. But I do cloth clean her 3 to 4 times a day. You'll need the following items before bathing your baby: ** No powder, there is no need to use powder; cause the baby natural body scent is nice enough. Even really out of choice like parent or in law insist you (I’m one of them), to put some on the baby, choose those with no talc. I use organic one. No matter what, insist not to put it around infant’s private area. If baby develop stomach discomfort due to bloated stomach, can use stomach massage to cease the discomfort. I do it everyday for Amabel when she got very serious bloated stomach. The massage is taught by Mr Wong when I look her up for lactation consultation. It really help alot; Amabel's bloated stomach cured after i use that techniques after a week. Thereafter, I made it a habit to massage her after every feeds and also when her stomach feel bloated. I taught my maid that also so she can do it for her when I am working. Mr Wong is also the one who make my breastfeed an enjoyable one. Really thanks her! Tub baths. This is what I did… CHILDREN’S SAFETY IS OUR CONCERN Tips while doing infant bath (this is will reduce the infant being fear of bathing also): 4. Wipe infant's eyes with a clean washcloth/gauze (never use before one) dampened with clean cool boiled water only, starting with one eye and wiping from the inner corner to the outer corner once and discard. Use another new piece of the washcloth/gauze to wash the other eye once and discard . Same way for cleaning the ears, tongue and gum. 5. Use a washcloth to wash the head and hair. 6. Then another washcloth to wash your baby's face. Rinse the washcloth and way down to body; exposing one area at a time, washing it and clean another area. Do it until all body area are cleaned. 7. Apply baby lotion etc and dressed the baby Hope I am doing the correct way and never miss out anything. If I am not, please correct me with your opinons. Labels: babycare ADVERTISEMENTS
title: Over-Protective?
date: Monday, November 05, 2007 time : 10:48 AM Von just asked me a question. So give me another 15 mins to blog this down before back to work. She asked me over msn: "do u think u over protective?" I replied: "nope... not at all" (why I answered her "nope... not at all" is because my thinking is that, these are the basic I need to do for my child.) She: " r u sure?" I replied: "I am sure. haha"... "but jnl said i am over protective" Von think that I shouldn't bring so many of her things (home-prepared meal, milks etc) when going out. She said: "she is big enough to take some of outside food u know" I know and I have been giving her alittle bit of plain rice to eat for fun whilst I having my meal. But definitely not going to let her eat so much as a meal. As we know outside food is not as clean as what we think, especially hawker stall. Even if I were to give her eat abit, I will only choose restaurant for her. Outside food contains extreme lot of salt, sugar and msg, which I think is too much as a meal for a less than 3 year old baby's stomach. And I don't want my child to be picky on food next time. Those food like tibits, coke/gassy drink that are unhealthy/ not going to benefit them in anyway. I will stop them from eating/drinking and try to explain to them the reasons. Some people may think I am too ridiculous, my reply will be "Nothing is more important than health". Also... Hubby asked me: " Why you need to bring a steriliser to Genting, so ma fan with so many thing to bring." Those knowledgable mommy will definitely support me bringing steriliser or sterilising pill when travelling to overseas especially when the kid is still young, not strong enough to fight bacteria. Like one of my friend, took her 1 year old plus daughter for a oversea trip and she is suffering from serious diarrhea. Her PD did a lab test on the bacteria and found out it was amoeba which is from water. The mother believed that it is when she use the tap water to wash an apple for her daughter and got the bacteria. No matter how strong the baby is, no baby is able to fight against the amoeba bacteria. So why not take extra effort to sterilise bottle and wash stuff that will go into their mouth with boiled water right? Hubby also stop me from installing a internet camera at home. What's wrong with it? I just wanna look at Amabel whilst working, of cos not every mins. And to make sure that the maid behaviours well and take good care of Amabel when I am not around. I accompanied MQ to her antenatal course at Thomson last Sat. I am glad that I were there, cause the trainer, Mrs Wong is someone I admire. My Antenatal course trainer last time is defintely not as knowlegable as her. She is also the one that helped me alot, when i seek her for help on breastfeeding Amabel. See how she helped me @ http://mypreciousangel.blogspot.com/2006/09/meet-up-with-mrs-wong-lactation.html I had learnt additional new things on babycare from her just this one lesson. She is the one that prove that I am not overprotective my child. She is the one that prove that I am not over-sensitive with my maid. She is the one that prove that I need to continue to ensure the baby and maid cleanniness. I am definitely going to send my maid for a babycare course conducted by her if i got another child again. So once again I am not overprotective. :P Will like to know how you all think, so do leave me comments on your view. Thx!

wow... I cant imagine me showering for my baby after he is born. Donno whether i can did a good job just like you. I attend the TMC prenatal course also got teach bathing baby but not yet handon. And hor TMC taught us to remove the clothes and diaper first before washing the hair and body leh i think. Do I remember correctly? Now suddenly like forget abit of the steps liao.
Joanne
eh... I got one friend told me the same thing over msn. Haha~
Actually both way are ok as long as the baby never get cold can liao. And yes TMC teach the method of removing everything and wrap the baby up first. That is what i learnt during TMC prenatal course also but I change abit after my experience with showering Amabel (my elder girl). I don't want to remove everything and wrap her up with cloth then in the end when i shower her hair, she shit or urine and mess the whole cloth or even the floor and my clothes when I washing her hair mah, so I change the way and I prefer my changed version.
hi this is Rin, saw you from peggy's blog.
you have a nice blog too! with your 2 little baobeis. :)
Cheers!
Oh ya hor. You're brilliant. I shall use your way instead.hehe!
