title: My girls first Voluntary Work
date: Wednesday, July 31, 2013
time : 6:52 PM

A month ago I got my girls to involve in a voluntary work, distributing meals to the poor living in the low-income estate.

Me and hus thinking that it's a good opportunity to explore our kids to voluntary works, eventually more to come. They must learn that life is not as easy as what they think. Just look at the poor, the needy people, their living environment. One shall really know how to help one another since young and render assistance to people in need of genuine help in whatever way you can.

Pack and pack of lunch for the needy were delivered to us for distributing.

Lunch sponsored by Willing Hearts and fruits n' muffins sponsor by Hus' company members

That's my 2 sweetest angels.
Truly speaking, I don't need them to show how sweet and filial they are to me. To me, is really not the point.
How do you think about a person who filial to the parent but not respecting, and was looking down the poor, the needy or disability people and not being caring to others? We wanna teach them to learn to love, respect and care for others, eventually they will showing that even more to their parent.

Assigning jobs and arranging the meals. Our friend, Christopher (in red), without any words, agreed to join us to help out. Is your heart that count

So excited

They can't wait to headed up to the top floor to start distributing the meals

2 girls are learning

Very serious Amabel

My active girl. start monkeying around

Where else Amabel is such a great helper, my little volunteer

We came to this family, where the parent actually left the 3 little kids as young as my girls in the house At that moment, I felt pity for the kids and thought how can the parent bear to leave the kids alone at home. It is extremely dangerous with the door locked. What if it catch fire?! Hus ask the elder girl, where is you parent. They replied "They are off for work". Heart-wrenching....and I could then understand that for really low-income family for some reason, without much help to turn to and without choice, they have to leave the children at home. If the parent not working, how the family going to survive, they need work to earn for a living, for the kids. It is really a lesson and chance that we took to teach our girls, a learning for them that they should treasure the kind of living they have, they should not take things for granted and ask for more.

As she seem she learns and requested us to let her try. Here a video of it

then meimei joined in

Is really heartwarming when the needy appreciate your help, and thank you from heart.
It put on smiles to our face

I hope my girls will take on more voluntary work and to continue it
