date: Saturday, March 11, 2006 time : 2:56 PM Mummy have been jotting down, since i knew that you maybe existing on Christmas eve in 2005 and have decided to blog it down here. You know Daddy is so excited when mummy told him that the pregnancy test kit shown a fade positive sign.
Daddy insisted on driving me to see a gynae but it's Christmas eve, no clinic is operating. He then drove mummy to see a GP at Jln Membina instead. The result also shown a fade positive sign, the doctor explained that 90% is pregnant else wont have a fade positive shown at all. Doctor suggested us to go see a gynae for ultrascan to confirm, of cos again Daddy is the one who is so gan cheong to know, and search for gynae nearby our area the day after Christmas. But all their appointment is full till January 06. No choice, he booked the one at Bukit Batok (Thomson Women's Clinic) on 27 Dec 05. 27 Dec 04 The gynae (Dr Wong Mun Tat), does a urine test for me, it again shown a very fade result that i am preggie. He told me that i'm pregnant but is in a very early stage that why the line is so fade. The good news seems so surreal that I badly need a reassurance somehow he then does a virginal scan for me. The scan shown that still not formed into an embryo yet not even have the pregnancy sac yet (which will only have during week 5 to 6) but already shown a thickening liner formed on the uterus that show that you are soon existing in Daddy and Mummy life. Based on my last menses (16 Nov 05), my due date might be on 23 Aug 06. He had done a blood test for me to check whether my pregnancy hormones is normal and am i on the risk of suffering etopic pregnancy. Yah..Have been taking folic acid before pregnant which is very good for the bb. Now we're confirm that i am really preggie! So Happy!! At the same time i still cannot accept that it is true. 30 Dec 05 Daddy drove me for my gynae follow up for the laboratory result. We are rest reassure when gynea told us everything is normal and did a virginal scan again. Now the pregnancy sac is already presence with a shadow of embryo-you (tot is like a dot only). The gynae said i am in my 6 weeks now if based on my last menses. At this time, i still can't see your heartbeat. We've decided to change our gynae to Dr Caroline Khi (ACJ Thomson women clinic at Thomson Medical Centre). Cause Daddy is not very comfortable for a male to be mummy's gynae, touching and deliver for mummy. Hehe, Daddy is jealous? Appointment with Dr Khi is 31 Dec 05. 31 Dec 05 Dr Khi explained, the scan measured the embryo (you) to be ard 1mm only, so she estimated you will be ard 5 weeks but if calculate from my LMP (16 Nov 05) shall be 6 weeks. However, mummy told her that i knew when i ovaluated (9 Dec 05 - perhap we have you on this day) and if calculated from that date will be more accurated (which is 5 weeks) therefore my due date (EDD) will be 2 Sept 06. 5 weeks already but you're only 1mm and no heartbeat yet... made mummy very worry. Another thing have been worrying me is that i taken certain antibiotic one month before i conceived so dunno whether it will affect my bb. 11 Jan 06 (Today 6 week 1day) In the morning, I went to work as usual.. it was pretty busy day for me. When I was sitting at my desk, typing on my computer, I feel a sudden sharp pull (cramp) on my lower abdominal and felt a gush. I faster emailed Dr Khi to tell her. She called me and advise that it is better for me to visit her. Reached TMC at 6.30pm after my work. She did a scan for me me and everything is fine. God blessed! You're now measured 0.50cm and were able to see your heartbeat blinking on the screen. So amazing! Have started to suffer from terrible nausea, bloatness and bodyache. Anything can help me to relieve all this symptoms? My life is miserable now. Sob sob. Starting to have all this symptoms only from 6th week don't how long this will last. Hai~ Can anyone help me? I started drinking pregnancy milk twice a day once i know i am pregnant in 5th week. Now reduced to once a day or none a day cos the milk really make me nausea. Heard from Valerie that pregnancy milk is good for baby cause it contain high calcium and DHA. Have been craving for fried and spicy food; laksa, mee siam, chilli, french fries (unhealthy food lor). I also having white discharge that keep me going to the toilet very often to check whether is it normal discharge or bleeding. Scary man! Mummy was feeling so happy everyday knowing my precious bb is growing and looking forward to see you again on ultrasound scan on 9th week appointment. 13 Jan 06 Today Daddy went to Suntec with Ah gee. He bought a Newly invented Babywell Milk Expresso for you which costed $315 after discount. You see he doted you so much. 15 Jan 06 Daddy accompanied Mummy to Eu Ren Seng at Tiong Bahru Plaza, to see Chinese Physician to get some medicine for "an tai" which your aunt did last time. Your grandma advise me to go see cause is really good. Your aunt previously miscarriaged for twice and only after she seen the physician then sucessfully delivered a healthy baby. When i went to see the physician, she very sad that i went for virginal scan for twice cos she claimed that it is very unsafe to do any scan during this critical first 3 months as the frequency of the scan is very high and will affect the foetus in someway if the foetus is unstable. I told her i went to the gyna to do the scan because i want to know whether baby got heart beat and the growing progress but she said she got patient who went the do the virginal scan and the next day miscarriage. She also said if you discovered that your baby don't have heartbeat it doesn't mean it will not have in the next few weeks, cos it may due to the foetus developing more slowly than other normal foetus. She got one patient conceive twice both gyna said no heartbeat then this time the patient came to look for her, she prescribed her medicine for the first three months and asked her not to go see gyna at all for first 3 months then now in the end also sucessfully delivered a healthy baby. I going to seek her advice and not going to see my gyna until this critical 3 months is over and taking her chinese medicine to 'an tai'. 17 Jan 06 Went to GP to buy a skin product (Differin), known from the doctor that it is not safe to use during pregnancy. But i have been using it before i conceived and during these 7 weeks of pregnancy. Before that i checked with skin dermatologist and she claimed that it is safe for pregnancy but now another doctor told me is unsafe. How? now i don't who to trust and worried cause i have been using it for this 7 weeks of pregnancy. Now i also don't whether other skin products like facial cleanser etc that i am using now is it safe or not. Anyway, decided to stop using those skin products. To be safe than sorry. 28 Jan 06 (Today 9 week 1 day) Today went for follow-up visit. You're already 2.37cm with the heartbeat rate of 169 per min. The sound of your heartbeat is more obvious and clear today. My next visit will be 20 Feb 06 morning (12th week 3 day pregnancy) and is going to do the pre-natal blood test (Thalassaemia, Hep B, VDRL, Blood count, blood group, HIV and rubella) and OSCAR test (to check for Down Syndrome). Today visit costed $229.95 for the blood test to be done in next visit and consultation fee, ultrascan and some vitamins-prenaforte and DHA tablets etc (expensive hor). ~ Today you are 15 weeks.
