date: Tuesday, March 14, 2006 time : 10:08 PM 10 Feb 06 Mummy received a shocking call from your aunty (Huihui) at around 8pm, informing that your great granny is very seriously ill. Now is unconscious! She may not be able to survive till tomorrow. I were overwhelmed, what should I do now? Can I rush to hospital now since I am pregnant (pandang for preggie to go hospital for visit). My mind was like went haywire. I insisted on going and gave your Daddy a call, wanted him to ask your great grandma, whether I can go to hospital or not. Your grandfather then called me from hospital and asked me not to go hospital since I am pregnant now. Everyone doesn’t want me to go hospital at this moment. At about 8.43pm, I received call from aunty Huihui and your uncle that your great granny passed away le. My brain doesn’t seem to work anymore, after hang up the call, my tears burst out. Nobody at home, I do not know what to do at this time but to cry till I fall asleep (Sorry… baby, I know you are crying with me too but Mummy just couldn’t control). The next day I went to the funeral, looking at your great grandma’s photo, thinking of past where I used to live with her for more than 15 years, I controlled my tear from rolling down; nobody will know how I feel just like how I feel when your great grandfather passed away. I knew that it’s not good for mummy to attend the funeral, but she is mummy’s granny, your great granny. I believed your great granny will be happy that we went see her and bless us. Your great grandma (Daddy’s granny) also helped us and does many things for us before I can attend your great granny’s funeral. You must bear in mind that your great grandma does a lot of things for us which we wouldn’t know, so no matter what happen, you must filial and respect her. The funeral lasted for three days, your daddy couldn't attend the funeral cause your great grandma (Daddy's grandma) also passed away afew day before your great granny. Year 2006 is really a great blow to Daddy and Mummy. Returned work the next day after the wake. When my boss asked me about your great granny, on whether i am closed with her, mummy just couldn't control and cried again. 20 Feb 06 (Today 12 weeks 2 days) I am still taking folic acid although i approached 2nd trimester. Morning went to TMC with Daddy for the OSCAR test (Down Syndrome - measurement of Neck-fold thickness), which costed around $412.00. You're now 6.64cm. When the doctor (not my gynae) do the ultrascan for me, she said my due date (EDD) might changed to earlier date cause of the baby's size even though i have given my gynae my date where i actually have the cervival mucus (which will give a very accurate EDD already), but still need to see what my gynae said regards to my EDD. When the doctor was measuring your neck thickness, you are sleeping. After the measurement, you woke up (hehe... good! you are very cooperative, after the whole process then woke up ). After that you're very actively jumping and swinging your body. Were so touched when we actually could see you facing us and waving to us. Also saw you sucking your figure. So amazing! Then we proceeded for the blood test which cost $88 (package), it included tests for:
Actually supposed to get the results in the afternoon but TMC's machine down cannot process it. Yah.... I am now 42kg. Today Mummy spent over $500 for maternity wear at Paragon, 9mois (swell). Maternity clothes are so expensive but their designs are very modern and nice, find it worth as it can be wore during and after pregnant. Hehe! so happy... when will i start wearing it? So jialat, recently have alot of breakout, those tiny pimples on my face and chest. Don't know what i could apply to control. Sob sob! 23 Feb 06 Today, having my TPM (appraisal), and i actually announced to my boss that i am pregnant. She seem to be very supporting me and asked me not to stress myself. Really relieved after telling her, cause be4 that have been worry too much if i tell her what will her reaction be liked. After i start to have Morning Sickness (MS), i can't drink milk at all... whether do i see or smell the milk i will feel nausea. I thought after first trimester, MS will get better but now even worst. Whether i am hungry or full after meal, i will feel nausea. But i still can eat quite alot, is just that after that will feel nausea, but not really will vomit out. Hope will get better soon. Every night i will turn on soft music to help me sleep well cos i won,t have a chance to take a nap during day time and i use alot of energy and mind to do my work too. I would said it help or maybe is because i am just too tire, so every night i am very deep into my sleep. At night, i often got the urge to pee, also lazy to wake up. I am now 43kg, during my first trimester, i put on 2kg although i got MS. 25 Feb 06 (Today 13 weeks 3 days) Went to get my blood test and OSCAR scan result today with Daddy. The results of the blood test and OSCAR test is fine. The Oscar test result shown: Crown rump length (CRL) - 66.0 mm Nuchal translucency - 1.4 mm Maternal age-related risk for Trisomy 21 - 1 : 954 Adjusted risk for Trisomy 21 - 1 : 10362 Maternal age related risk for Trisomy 13/18 - 1 : 1770 Adjusted risk for Trisomy 13/18 - 1 : 35386 ** A risk cut-off of > or = 1 : 300 is used to determne a pregnancy at high risk of Trisomy 21. Gynae did a scan for me again to see you. You are measured 7.37cm now. You raised your left hand and waving "Hello!". We signed up the antenatal package, costed $598.00 (for all the gynae visits throughout the rest of the months till i deliver). I was prescripted with Calcium Lactate and top up my multivitamin and DHA tablets. Bought Avent Stretchmark prevention oil and Stelliisept from gynae also. My waist already grew to 27 inches. 21 Mar 06 (Today 16 weeks 2 days)Went for 4th month visit on Monday with Daddy. Gynae tried to see the gender of you by placing the scan on your bottom part, hehe~ couldn't see anything stick out so assumed you are baby girl? You're already 11.32cm. Everything is fine, your heartbeat is now 149 beats per minute. Could see you relaxing, bending your legs and sucking your thumb. You are so cute! It's fun watching you on the scan. You rolls, cartwheels, somersaults and slides in and out of the screen, while the doc pushes the scanner around my lower belly. What really made it real for me was when I could clear make out your face - skull, feature... and also the spine. Will be heading down to hospital for a more detailed scan on 17 April 06 which allows me to see my Baby even more clearly.
