date: Friday, September 18, 2009 time : 12:19 PM Aisleyne's milestone development Aisleyne has turned 13 months . Still my chilli padi weighing just 7.58kg. I wasn't very much worry about her weight. She's able to flip when she is 4-months, crawl in 6-months, sit without support and pull to stand with support in 7-months, and stand without support in 10-months. And now walk unaided in 13-months. She had shown interest in going mobile since 9 months. Just two days ago, she proudly show me that she can walk more than just a few steps and even trying to jump. Still remember she starts to attempt to walk by holding onto furniture, bed and sometimes she'd let go and stand there and I could tell she was thinking about walking, but then she drops to the ground and crawl. haha~ I thought she may walk early before she hit 1, worrying that it may not be too good for her bone. whereas some parents often wait eagerly for those first steps. Think about it, walking early doesn't mean your child will be a great athlete, so does walking late doesn't mean they'll end up being clumsy and uncoordinated. They will just walk when they are ready, and if they want to walk early, nothing we can stop them too. Kids have their own timetables, placing too much emphasis on their developmental milestones will not be good. Though for Aisleyne now is still wobbling steps, but she can walk pretty far without fall, but you can see that she is trying very hard to balance every steps. So cute!! Gradually, she will learn to walk with more control in no time, then can change directions and then carry things in her hands as she walk. Amabel gone through the process and now she's bouncing up and down every secs. Which giving us lot headache! Here are videos showing how Aisleyne standing up on her own without any support and then walking wobbly. Making a turn. lol~ Labels: Aisleyne, Milestone, Walking ADVERTISEMENTS

date: Monday, October 08, 2007 time : 4:34 PM Have not been updating for quite afew days. Have been very busy with work so cannot blog so often now. There are alot of thing to write but don't have much time to do so now. So a very quick one here. This is Amabel recent pic, her temper is getting bad. She don't like people to carry her nowadays since she already master the skill of walking. And she will cry, scream and fuss when we attempt to. She likes walking around the house very much now. We had hard time running after her and stop her from doing dangerous acts like climbing up the table, playing with the door and walking up and down the stair of our room's platform without any support. Yah, she's still not that advance in mobile lah, but she acts like she know how to do it. So wheneven she want to do that stunts, I got to run to help her or prevent her falling from the stair. Afew time, she almost frighten me to death.
Not long after that, this happened to hubby when he attempted to carry her . . . Here the clearer version ->
. . . Know what it is?
And because of taking these pics, I dropped my canon camera and had to get it repair. What a BAD DAY Labels: Amabel's character, My Gallery, Walking ADVERTISEMENTS
title: What's wrong with skinny baby?
date: Wednesday, September 19, 2007 time : 9:10 PM A mother has been frustrating about other people commenting her child not gaining much weight. "Another gripe i did mention is about other people commenting that she is skinny lah or that she lost weight...it made me even more frustrated not becoz i WANT a FATTY baby....but its becoz i think its just damn rude for people to make such comments, etc...to me, its like saying that i've been starving her or i neglected her...To them, feeding baby is a walk in the park, for me its like WORLD WAR 3!!!! " by a mother of a 9kg plus baby at 1 year old I could really understand her frustration, cause I was once feeling that way too. I really learnt to accept those remarks and don't take it to heart. As long as Amabel has been proving to me that she is STRONG and HEALTHY compare to chubby/fat babies, I will let her be. I personally feel that weight doesn't mean everything at all as long as the baby is still active, happy and strong. If that mother is to worry about her child's weight. Then I need to be more worry about Amabel's weight right. Amabel is only 7.8kg at 1 year old, not even triple of her birth weight - 3.005kg. But I had learnt to not worry about her weight anymore. Sometime genetic factors may predispose a human beings to certain metabolic. Like me, I eat like mad but I still so slim and healthy, so perhaps Amabel also same as me having high metabolic weight. Her development is so far very good, she always surprise me with her rapid learning skill. A lot of my friends and my parent commented she is very clever and although she is skinny but still healthy and so strong. Amabel can even push down a 4 year old boy and won a snatching war from him. So what is the reason for me to worry, she already proven to me everything. As for feeding Amabel, sometimes can really vomit blood, cause she always need something to entertain her, if not she will fuss and cry. Give her a toy to play whilst feeding, not in awhile time, she is bored of it already. Need to keep changing toy for her. Sometimes she will cry just because no toy fancy her anymore and when she is crying with her mouth open, I will find chances to stuff the spoon inside her mouth. wahaha.. yaya I know is no good but she still eat those mouthful of food. She's still hungry lah, is just that she got no new toy to play with and start fussing and rebel against eating. And... and... Amabel is entering another milestone. Nowadays Amabel starts learning to walk, though still a bit wobbly, but she is improving everyday. She can also said it out Overall, she is growing pretty well.
