date: Friday, December 07, 2012 time : 12:40 AM Deprived from sleep for the past few days, nursing her gastric flu, and over here in hospital also only managed to caught the most 2 hours of sleep when she was asleep without the tummy ache and frustration of any discomfort or pain/itch on the drip plug area. Though was like asleep, but I could feel that my mind is still working. Also being woke up few times during that 2 hours sleep when the nurses came to check on her blood pressure and temperature and each time she suffered tummy ache I need to massage for her to ease alittle of the pain. Didn't tell others about Aisleyne hospitalization due to gastric flu. Till now my parent is still not aware of it. Didn't want anyone to worry. But colleagues came to visit during their lunch. Feel so touched by their concern and wishes. Didn't have my breakfast until Hus came to take over after sending Amabel to childcare in the late morning, then had my lunch and I stayed till 1pm then headed home to pack the bag and essential for tonight stay and also I promised her to bring cooking set toy from home as per her request. Lol~ Well, I managed to caught a nap of an hour after washing and hanging of clothes and washing + sterilize of milk bottle for the use. Rain heavy and I had a hard time hiring a cab to go fetch Amabel from school bus on time. Lucky the school bus is just in NUH building so Hus went to pick her instead. Her vomiting had stopped completely and diarrhea are very less frequent now but just still a bit dehydrating so still have to continue with the drip before she can be discharged. Appetite was slightly better now, after assuring her that less likely that she will throw out, so can take in solid food. She was very much more energetic now, got the mood to play the cooking set I brought and also let her play iPad games and watch YouTube awhile. Have been playing together with her to ease her boredom. When I told her I urgent, need to go toilet to pee, she said "You go, you go! Nevermind, I good girl here!" Lol~ when I'm back, she cleared and kept all the toys, saying "Cannot play too long, later the doctor want to come to check me and the bed so messy how!" Hahaha Gave her a little of soy formula milk I bought earlier for her still weak stomach and she managed to finish all though she has been saying it taste yucky. Time to hug my girl to sleep now before the nurse come to check her again. Zzz...         3 Comments:

Hi Apple, sad to hear about ur daughter virus.. few weeks ago my daughter(18mth) kana the same Gastric Flu virus spread by someone in my family member which all my relaitve got it at the same time. Recently alot of this flu getting on, n my hubby got the virus after my daughter gtg to recover. My daughter admitted to KK for 3 days.. before that vomit n diarrhea, was on dripping due to dehydrate.. she was crying so painfully when they put the needle to the vein for blood flow. Me also same too heartpain till i tears... this is hw we mother react.. after she went home, her temp keep go up & down, i called doc, doc say this virus is like that, within 1 week she will b fine.. hope your daughter recover well.. at that moment i told my self how naughty you are nvm, pls dun fall sick again can liao... takecare ;)
Hi anon, sad to hear that your daughter went thru this torture too. Not easy for the parent esp when the kid is sick, quite traumatize for the kid too. My gal is recovering well and back to her gigantic appetite. Pray hard that no more going through this again.
