Hundreds of family and friends arrived early morning at the funeral of 19-year-old Republic Polytechnic student Darren Ng in Tampines to send him on his final journey. The teenager was brutally attacked by a group of 10 youths armed with choppers at Downtown East, Pasir Ris on October 30 after getting into a heated argument, reportedly over a "staring incident". He suffered multiple slash wounds and died five hours after being sent to Changi General Hospital. As the hearse carrying Darren Ng's body left the wake, some of his friends turned aggressive and confronted members of the media, even going as far as to push or threaten them. Some used their hands to block the cameras, while others raised their voices and even threatened to throw punches. The group refused to let the media out of their sight, and followed them until they left the location. Three young men, Ho Wui Ming, 20, Tang Jia Min, 21, and Chen Wei Zhen, 19, were charged in court on Wednesday (November 3) with the murder of Darren Ng Wei Jie at the main foyer of Downtown East at Pasir Ris Close on October 30 between 5.30pm and 5.57pm. They allegedly committed the offence with Edward Tay Wei Loong, 18 and several others while being part of an unlawful assembly. Tay is in intensive care after injuring himself while trying to get away from the police. He will be charged in hospital. Ho, Tang and Chen will be back in court next Wednesday. Stupid teenagers dunno how to think. Over small matter only also must slash people. They think its fun or cool doing these. The others who are being part of the unlawful assembly, be it they did the chopping or they just see see only, they will face the sentence as if they are the murderer who act. Good luck to them. Hope the police can find them as soon as possible. Now, total of 11 lifes might be gone just like that.
i think they are all came from problematic family, most of their impulsive acts could probably due to certain emotional and physiological factors. Too bad, just that moment of impulsive, they have ruin their life and others.
