how not to have a glass of champagne when attending such event

and my honor to take a photo with the Make-up Maestro Clarence Lee (celebrity make-up artist)

He's such a nice friendly smart guy, who wore Hermes acessories and Franck Muller watch on that day. He shares a number of makeup tips with us. He has the magic fingers! I can feel his fingers were cool but was so gentle when touches my cheek and eyes for that at least a minute, that feeling was damn shiok! Lol~

A one to one tutorial, I asked him my greatest woes,  how to conceal my sunken dark undereyes . He taught me to use my YSL highlighter after concealer and remember not to choose concealer that is lighter than my skin tone. Then to enhance my undereye area cheekbone with white nuance highlighter from Cosme Decorte. But he said mine actually covered quite well already. Phew! But I think I still look suck with my lousy makeup skill and sensitive skin.

Cosme Decorte AQ makeup line is all the products containing a " Gold Colloid Powder" which gives the makeup the sparkles with high-quality effect and delicate glossiness.

Trying out the texture of makeup

AQ Cream Foundation Supreme SPF20/PA++

One of their popular product, this manipulates Light and Creates Natural Contours With Three-Dimensional Appearance. A Cream Foundation that creates a glow and embellished with rich moisture.

Contains “Light Sculpture Powder” which gives a refining glow. Filled with rich moisture, it delivers smoothing and three-dimensional effects.

Clarence Lee demo on 3 model for 3 different looks using all product from Cosme Decorte AQ

Tips he shares
  • He claimed that the 'secret' to good skin, most important is to removing makeup and clean the skin thoroughly.  It isn't the makeup that breaks our skin out, but because we did not remove our makeup properly, so they clogged our pores, make our skin break out and appear dull.
  • He reminded the audience to apply face products in a downward motion to smooth it down
  • Not to apply foundation in a upward motion as it will clog the pores.
    • Not to use colour tone that is overly lighter to brighten the undereyes area as this would result in panda look.
    • Joining the shadow on the lower lashline with the shadow on the upper lashline/upper outer corner, for a complete eye.

    1.  Started off by applying Makeup Base and Primer with fingers. His preference for finger application as the fingers help him feel the contours of the face, at the same time, impart warmth to soften and blend the products well.

    2.  To blend foundation into the hairline, so that there will not be a stark disparity between our hair and face. Not to miss the corner of the eyes, the sides of the nose and corner of the lips.

    3. To gently applied Concealer on the undereye area, not to use concealer that is lighter than your skin colour or highlighter that is overtly light to brighten that area as this would result in greyish tone.
Cosme Decorte Modeling Nuancer, comprising two cream compacts in a soft brown and a white. Together, they sculpt and contour the features.

    AQ Modeling Nuancer
Manipulates Light & Shadow, and Draws a Graceful Uplifting Line. Creates sharpness using highlighting & shading

    4. To contour the face, Clarence recommends using the brown nuancer on the cheek hollows to define the cheeks. A little on the jawline can makes the face look slimmer. He also applying the contouring brown nuancer on the sides of the nose to sharpen it,  reminding us to apply it downwards from the eyebrows for a natural shadow.

Then using the White Modeling Nuancer, gently dabbed it on the outer lower eye area, the nose bridge, the T-zone and the chin and also the laugh lines, this adds radiance and act in lifting the features.
    5. He then finished the entire base look with a light dusting of Face Powder

    AQ Shadow Supreme
The composition of Gold Colloid Powder, made from the nano-level powder of solid gold, it overlaps with other
colours giving the depth, translucency, and colour of the Gold Colloid Powder. It sparkles with high-quality effect and delicate glossiness.

    6. Next, he worked on the model’s eyes, using the Cosme Decorte Shadow Supreme eyeshadow palettes. A bit chim here for me to describe the way he use the palettes but I will try that on my eyes one day.
    7. Then draw the eyeliner, defined the brows and mascaraed the lashes or put on the falsie
    8. blushed the cheeks with blusher, too heavy the blusher is a NO NO

    9. Apply the lipcare then lip colour and/or gloss

Done with the complete look. And I feel that this model look like Michelle Reis, my idol but of course Michelle Reis is so much beautiful than her.

    Another model with different look!

    The 3 super tall models
