Just had a warm bath.
Yes usually my night shower is at this timing.
Cause both my precious are asleep and I'm free. And now I am blogging while expressing milk.
Got to make use of the time.
24 hours a day never enough for me.

I read this in a mag:
"My son is almost five and still has the habit of sucking his thumb. He says he doesn't realise he is doing it and also sucks his thumb when he sleeps. We think that this may be the cause of his front teeth sticking out. We have scolded him and even tried putting chilli sauce on his thumb but nothing seems to work. What else can we do?"

A reply from Dental Surgeons -->
"Thumb sucking is a perfectly normal habit for the infant and toddler, but when continued beyond two or three years old can lead to protruding front teeth, an "open" bite where his front teeth cannot come together when biting and a whole host of other problems that could mean many visit to the orthodontist's office later on ......"

*Headache*
Hence, I made a decision to intro pacifier to Aisleyne since she got the habit of sucking her thumb. But am I making the right decision?!? She has been sleeping through the night (about 8 hours) without asking for milk since she is 2 months old, now she is 10 weeks old.
Last few days, not yet intro her pacifier, she suck her thumb siong siong liao will remove herself when she's in deep sleep and if she needs comfort again she will automatic suck her thumb again, so I won't have to wake up to help her or pacify her.
Ever since I want to get her to suckle pacifier, at night she has been waking up for a few times cause I force her to suck her pacifier again instead of letting her suck the thumb. Everytime after some struggling (cause she don't want pacifier), she did suck the pacifier and fell back to sleep. When she in deep sleep, she stopped suckle and the pacifier fell off. Then when sudden she need comfort again, she cried and trying to put her thumb in her mouth to suck. When I woke up by her eheheh sound and saw her putting her thumb into her mouth, I will faster remove it and give her the pacifier instead and again she will struggle and want her thumb. Managed to get her suckle the pacifier and fell asleep, And I went back to sleep also. Then don't know how long later, the same thing happened again.
Kao whole night we are fighting over that + she don't know how to put back the pacifier so I got to do it for her. Faint!!
Argh....me more tiring than her.
So shall I let pacifier or thumb be her best friend??? Can some one advise if you experience this before? Hai...

But just now very funny... cause i don't want her to suck her thumb so i put on mitten (I never let her wear it since she is 2 months old) for her again.
She unable to suck her thumb anymore but she keeps trying to squeeze her whole hand into her mouth, searching for the thumb.
I just don't care and gave her pacifier, she cry for awhile then suckle the pacifier, after a few minutes I go to her, don't know how she managed to remove her mitten and were sucking her thumb and she sleeps until very siong like that.
Argh... I don't know how also.
Don't let her suck thumb is like disturbing her sleep leh.
Hai...
But still I think is better to have pacifier rather than sucking the thumb. Cause we won't know whether her hands are clean after those aunties or uncles shake or hold her hands right. And at least pacifier can wean off easier.

Another headache is till now she still refusing bottle feeding. Hai again....
Talk about that when I am free again. And will post some pics also.
Finished expressing milk now and gonna have a cup of milk (for breastfeeding mom) and go catch some sleep first before the battle start again.

i think dont give her pacifier. since she do without it for 10mths alrdy. after all, pacifier is not a good thing. you will still need to make her stop using it when she is older. most of the kids will suck thumb and oni very little of them continue sucking until very old. i think you should just let her continue sucking her thumb. its abit too early to stop her from sucking her own thumb. and try not to give her pacifier. cos i think in the end pacifier is more hard to get rid. =)

I thought pacifier is more easy to wean off. Amabel wean off when she is 14 months if i remember correctly. Sucking thumb, I cant remove her thumb right. I do heard afew cases where their kid cannot stop sucking their thumb even when they are in primary sch.
