title: Aisleyne's Earlobes Pierce
date: Tuesday, March 18, 2014 time : 5:15 PM Aisleyne has been bugging us to bring her to get her ears pierced. Hus objected as he worried that she may hurt her ears during rough play with sister or friends and get herself with ear holes infection. Whereas for me, I’m quite fine with it since she really want it. I still remembered how much I wanted to get my ear pierced when I were primary 1 but my workaholic parents can’t be bother to bring me go. Because of that, I don’t know where the hell I got the money from and went to an accessories jewel shop nearby neighbourhood market place at Jurong East Street 24 to get my ear-pierced. Wahahahaha fierce and super vain right and I’m only like primary 2 maybe. I could feel that she had her mind made up obviously, so I told her, mommy will go research more and find a reliable and professional one who does piercing for children and promised her that I would bring her go. First, I posted in facebook asking friend recommendation for a PD, GP who offer safe professional ear-piercing using disposable kind of cartridge ear piercing system that prevents the spread of communicable disease then I continued doing search online. Found that few GP and PD that I asked are using gun kind of piercing, though I knew that they would most probably being professional and ensure clean, safe and sterile piercing but if I could find the disposable cartridge kind of piercing that would be even more safer. Search and read a lot in few forums and saw many satisfied parents raved about their experience with B*dazzle (www.bdazzle.sg/). Then I called up the nearest B*dazzle shop (West Mall) to our home and then knew that they use disposable cartridge for piercing which is what I wanted. And they told me the expensive price range would cost between $85 to $500 per pair because of the great quality earrings (14K or 18K earring, which is pure nickel-free/titanium studs) they offer, which is allergy-free. As Aisleyne is still young, it is important to use good quality earrings. On the 9th March, Sunday. We go ahead with the plan, of course Hus agreed on my decision since he got no said when the mommy me had made up my mind. We went to Bukit Batok for Vegetarian Lunch and proceeded to B*dazzle shop in West Mall that promised us Professional Ear Piercing.  First, the staff will takes a look at her earlobe then I was ased to choose the earrings; there are different earrings of different pricing to choose from but since is for children, they recommended us to choose the best quality earring (14K or 18K) as kids' skin are very sensitive so can be easily inflamed, so choosing a great quality earrings would prevent that. Their earrings are sterilised and sealed directly imported from USA.  Just when I were choosing an earring for her and she started whining, I thought she was gonna chickened out last min but nope! She said "I wanna use my own earrings" what? and took out a pair of my earring from HER BAG. She brought it out in her bag!! LOL~ even the staffs LOL~ and suit her request, told her ok they will use the earring she brought to get her to stop whining.  then marked the position of the holes on both ears.    I was then get to check that the markings are balanced...

Both staff placed the disposable cartridge piercing equipment over the ears and pressed at the same time. The whole piercing process happened way too fast. And tadahhhh…the piercing is done!  Really LOL~ at her stunning expression like, “what happened?! Is it over already? Why I can’t even feel anything?” look surprise and shocked too until the staff brought the mirror and showed her…hers nicely pierce ear with the beautiful diamond stud which were already in her earlobes. Really priceless reaction I cannot stop repeating the video of the process, at the same time feeling that did she look like she is going to cry but holding back the tears? But everytime we ask her pain or not, her reply was always, “No, not pain at all” Not surprise cause even when she was an infant and baby going for vaccination jabs, out of 10 visits she only cried once. Her pain threshold pretty high actually. Or maybe really is the professional of the staff piercing made it really fast and painless. Aisleyne’s cousin had her earlobe pierced somewhere using gun type, her experience was really bad and pain that she just pierced one side and back off. So it is really good to choose one that able to do both earlobes pieced at the same time, so as to minimize trauma for the kid. You wouldn't want to be caught in a situation where one ear's pierced, but the kid refused to have the other one pierced because the first experience was painful like Aisleyne’s cousin case.
Okay, so I had really brave girl
as usual, no tear, no fear.
And she behaved really confident and
happy throughout over her beautiful pierced ear! She kept sweeping her hair
back to show her earrings.
I kept telling my hus that “现在她走路都有风了.” Lol~
 showing off her earring to relatives  The staffs are really good; friendly and smiley and coordinate very fast and well when piercing before the kids has time to react. They also kept praising my girl for the good job and being a brave girl and explaining to her we all felt this pairs of earrings is much nicer than the one she brought so we used that instead. And she was happy with it. The staff also told me that I should never push the back locking part of the earring all the way in. Otherwise, the back of the stud will poke her skin and I may get swollen earlobes. I then proceed to make payment and we also bought two bottles of lotion to apply, each costing $10! The staff then told us to clean the fresh piercing daily for at least 6 weeks to ensure no infection. I was also given an appointment card to go back to them to check her ears within the first month; this is a free service. Thumb up! And we made a right choice to choose a B*dazzle shop that is nearer to our home.  And total spending $168.00 (incl. $20 for cleaning lotion) for 14K white diamond stud. I have been faithfully applied the lotion on her earholes everyday and keep them dry and clean so that no infection would happen. Now already 1 week plus…so far, everything is okay, no and never complains of any pain uncomfortable or studs poking her neck when sleeping. Many asking me whether Amabel getting hers pierced too, hahaha nope! Cause she doesn’t has the courage when her meimei said she wants to pierce her earlobes. Even after her meimei got her earlobes pierce, she still doubted that it is painless. She asked meimei many times until she somehow got convinced and looking at how pretty Aisleyne’s earring were. The next day, she told me she also want to get her earlobes pierced. I told her, if she is really confirm that she wants it, I promised I will bring her go. I gave her a month to confirm the decision.  If you are thinking and finding a safe, professional piercing, B*dazzle is really the top choice.
