Never ignore a child’s drawing. Don’t be surprising that we can infer how a child feels through their drawing; they often draw things that happened around them, from their imagination, what they desire, love and how they actually feel.

When younger girl, Aisleyne was around 2, from her scribbling often can tell that she was very impatient and not able to concentrate/focus for long on a piece of work. All her drawing is just a two/three lines way of coloring or one / two circles. Even now in her age of 4, into a pre-schematic stage, she often cannot finish a piece of drawing or coloring. But now her drawing is more of the real things in the world, more to be on humans, plants or tree, cloud or sun and is always add funny/weird feature to it. And pretty common error children make early in this stage; hahaha is like merging of the head and body without drawing a neck like humpty dumpty; the head and body are one entity one. Worst hers are without a body, straightaway link to legs.

 
Lol~ and details of many features are usually lacking, like ear and fingers and they are not wearing of any clothes. All children are like that, so same for her sister, Amabel. Is only at the later of this stage, like 5 years for Amabel when she can depicts real things/objects much more accurate from her knowledge of the world, and so her drawings become more realistic, with some features which previously missing and clothes are then added.
She said this is "Mermaid Aisleyne under the ocean" because Aisleyne always tell her she wants to be a little mermaid

At this age, their drawing are always present the good and innocence of a 6-7 years old child, who is free of worries, is all loved and care we show. So at this age, I think involve a lot of their emotions on things they see and this often convey some message and may greatly affect them. Hence, I always forbid my children watching violent scenes on TV and try not to quarrel with people in front of her.

Now I always talk to my girls about their drawings. And I’m always surprise and amaze with the message of their drawing and always learn new things from their thinking and feeling.

Like this which Aisleyne drew a few days back. She said from the right is her Daddy, me the mommy then my ex-maid happily holding hand together. Though sometime I'm unhappy with my maid not up to my standard but I never ever vent my anger and throw temper on her, not even to say in front of my kids. That's why her drawing is us happily holding hands with a smiles on our face. And I'm surprise that our most current ex-maid who already left us for 8 months is still make a space in her heart and memory. My this ex-maid is really loved, doted and pampered her so much that till now she will still brought up her name and told us what happened between them in the past.

hahaha and this is also by Aisleyne few days back, drawing Meiqi jiejie and Aunty Sereen. This made a conversation in our BMW whatapps group's chat. lol~


and I don't one to explain much the message convey in this drawing when I asked her. This is also done by her few days back, which is an incident happened to me last year. What do you think she is drawing?!?! lol~~~ *FML* I can imagine in another 10 years, she is reading this blog post and asking me what is she drawing here. Are you reading now?? rofl~~~~~~~~~~

So never ignore their drawing and I keep every single piece of their drawing since they start scribbling. So do you?!
