title: Nails Surprise @ Amelie's Nail Journey
date: Saturday, May 21, 2011 time : 2:06 AM I had never ever taking good care of my hands and nails since young. I love cracking my knuckles, that I had knuckles joint popper and my fingers are really out of shape and I had a really bad habit of nibbling my nails and even the skin around the nails when I were toddler. That continued till I'm in secondary school when I started to bother how ugly, weak and short my nails are. Hence, I don't have a nice and beautiful shaped nail bed and fingers now. I have been sad over it. That's why I have been really harsh to my girls when I saw them nibbling their nails too. And I'm glads that Amelie will be giving me a nice do up of my nails and I will like to share her passion over nail arts and her salon services and art piece over my blog. I found time out to do a pampering treat last Saturday by Amelie's Nail Journey, it is a home-based nail salon located at Sembawang. She does nail service e.g. Manicure, Pedicure, Acrylic & Gel Extension for customer at her home. I admired her passion over nail art and services and her mission in providing quality nail service with reasonable price that is cheaper than other nail salon but the service she provides is above what you are paying for. She was a student from PinkRoom int'l, a professional nail academy where the lesson they provide is in international standard. Hence, no doubt her standard too. Her passion over nail art and fashion. She never fail to upgrade herself everyday  Amelie has almost everything that a nail parlor has, didn't took much pics of her equipment. I will do that the next time I visit her salon.   showcase few of her designs that she came out with..  few cuties  My naked and ugly nails. I have a really dry and wrinkled fingers and weak nails :''( so I need someone to beautify my nails now  I'm doing my virgin Acrylic Extensions. Amelie helping to remove my nails cuticle and then apply primer for my nails.  now she applied the acrylic substance (don't know what is that called actually :x) to my nail beds and form a fake acrylic nail for me.  you can see here that, she is using a nail form to do that rather than nail tips that most salon using. It meant to be creating a more natural acrylic nail extensions.  Last nail to be done for my right hand, can you see the clear glitter acrylic that I chosen ? I wanna try the black glitter next time. :)   Do the final filing  Applying base coat  After the coat applied, I’d place my hand UV light box, for polish to dry and harden.  This only takes a short while. Then start creating the nail art (black roses) and putting the swarovski crystals  with the coating and uv light again and TAH...DAA.... DONE! please pardon my ugly fingers, hope I don't spoil the look of the acrylic nail extensions       I spotted this sweet lil blossom cuticle coat that she used. Cute right!  this set cost $120 with extensions and all the swarovski crystal and nail arts! where to find such good deals? :D only at...      Updated this pic taken 10 days later on 23 May. Anonymous, this fake eyelashes was bought in FEP one of the eyelashes shop I think level 3. Can't really remember the model no. I think 053 but don't know the brand le. Sorry!
