The THREE Women are Sick - Viral Gastroenteritis (Gastric Flu)

We're diagnosed with Viral Gastroenteritis (Gastric Flu).

Aisleyne is the first get infected, but her condition is not as bad as mine and her sister. She started with vomiting only at lunch and dinner meal, we getting worry and brought her to see nearby PD, known that recently many such cases. She recovered in a day but appetite is still not back to normal yet. I still breastfeed her as doctor said it do help her to recover speedy.

Then the next day, the mommy get infected. My case were worst; since midnight, I started to feel nauseous. Usually at this timing, I'll feel hungry and need to eat before I can get to sleep but I no appetite at all; but still I never puke.

That was when I were in my dreamland, out of sudden I got the urge to puke. It's uncontrollable. I faster got up and ran to the toilet bowl, start.... to orhhhhh....throw out.

I thought it's gonna end cause after vomit I feel so relief. But that's not the ending, I woke up more than 5 times (within 6 hours of sleep time) to puke, until the last few times already nothing to puke but the gastric juice.

Still I went to work cause I need to send Amabel to school too.

In the car on the way to office, I still puke the gastric juice, went to staff clinic to see doctor, diagnosed with gastric flu and given one day MC.

Still never get better after the medication, rest in the office for awhile, continue to work, feel very tiring and went back home to sleep after clearing some urgent work.

Suddenly my maid woke me up, my colleague was on the phone, urgently need to speak to me. She very anxiously informed me that Amabel's teacher called our office saying that Amabel is in school vomited more than 9 times already, want me to faster go school.

I see my hp and the teacher called me a few times but I were sleeping, didn't hear it. I called back and tell her that I am rushing down already.

I quickly calls hubby, but damn... cannot get through many times, so I called his office (at level 6). A female who answered the call said he is at level 7, asking me to call his Hp and I told her that his Hp cannot get through that's why I call this office number and worst is that she is a Malaysian who cannot speak well English. It took me almost 5 mins to get the correct number (for level 7 office) out of her mouth, either more than eight digit if not is short of one digit.

Finally get the number but the line is not in service. Damn!

Very angry liao. *Smoke coming out*

Called back, hoping not the same girl who pick up the call.

Suay manz! Her again!!

Told her that the number is wrong, asked her whether got other number to call. And she told me to call his hp number. Argh..................

Pekchek! feel like slapping her at that moment. I started to get very frustrated when she cannot said out the number correctly and clearly.

Straight away I hanged up the call and tried guessing the number. Argh.... and luck that I get my hubby at a number, asking him to rush to school.

In the car, Amabel tends to vomit twice with nothing coming out just the saliva (i think is gastric juice). Brought her to nearby PD, again she said recently many similar cases and it is contagious so the family member have to practise good cleanliness, like frequently wash hands.

On that day, I went to see another doctor again, cause the medication wasn't help much. I still feel very tiring and puke when I eat. Told the female doctor my case, feeling very hungry (which made me very unbearable) yet I don't dare to eat cause I scare puke again. So she suggested to has a jab and then was given some medication.

Now we are all well.

but after us, my brother got it with fever, diarrhoea and vomiting.

So friends, to reduce your chance of contracting with this during this "gastric flu season", please take the neccessary prevention, especially if your house has young one or elderly.
