title: Wedding Band
date: Monday, October 29, 2007 time : 8:02 AM Saw this special 'Remember Ring'. ![]() 24 hours before your special day, the Hot Spot on the interior surface of your Remember Ring will warm to 120º F for approximately 10 seconds, and continue to warm up every hour, on the hour, all day long! But I need to have the habit of wearing it first. Eh…. I am not someone who will forget the anniversary. Moreover, we got a friend who will every year send both of us a wedding anniversary wishing message. That is enough to remember both of us. Thanks WQ! It would be interesting to have your opinion on the wearing of wedding band. I could be one of the minority groups of married woman who seldom wear the wedding ring. My worry is being that I'll scratch it and I am not really a ring and bracelet person lah. Usually, is the husbands who are trying to avoid wearing it, their reasons being "it would get lost during sports, games / too tight lah / I'll scratch!” My other half also don’t wears it most of the time. And by not wearing it, one could be trying to give the impression that they are single and available. I don’t know how my hubby and you guys think. And I know of some women who actually find married men more attractive, so letting your husband wear the ring may not be a good idea…haha The wedding ring is a visible sign that the couple are committed to one another and given as a token of fidelity to the other half... But what's more important is the couple's pledge and promise to each other. The ring is just jewelry, it isn't what that makes a couple married. A ring isn't going to stop anyone from cheating anyway. The unbroken circle is an age-old symbol of eternity. Yet the giving of a ring does not mean everlasting love. (It's a beautiful idea, but it doesn't work. Many people divorce yet their wedding ring remains intact.) Also, the ring does not represent enslavement. A marriage doesn’t mean the need to trust each other but is a pledge and promise to each other Labels: Wedding, Words for you |
